You also have to make sure that the socket is supported on your motherboard. As such, I would recommend you look at that one as among the last components to upgrade. It's actually usually one of the fastest hardware-components you have. The processor is rarey the main-cause for a slow computer. Otherwise it could be the amount of RAM you have or the type of Graphics card.
Most of the time loading-time is related to the max-speed of your HDD/SSD/SSHD (whichever type of storage-disk you have). In regards to the number of cores, 4 cores would usually be more than enough if you aim for a gaming-pc setup since quite few games takes advantage of more than 2-4 cores at max, but if you want to use editor-programs and such, 6 cored-processors are recommended.Īnd tbh, you don't need to aim for the newest types of cores to play games like this one on max with a massive city. Primarily concerned if 4 cores or 6 cores will be better. Was planning on waiting but playing on Surface Pro is killing me and the 7700K clocks better out of the box but enough to wait.
etcĪbout the CPU, unless you want moar cores for your X99 system (you'll have to OC it obviously) take the 7700k ^^ :headbash: Originally posted by Nexus:Wait for the 7700k + 32gb RAM + Samsung SSD + avoid lots of assets / mods / HD textures of map themes.
